The International Association of Geoanalysts (IAG) is a worldwide organization supporting the professional interests of those involved in the analysis of geological and environmental materials. Major activities include the management of proficiency testing programmes for bulk rock and micro-analytical methods, the production and certification of reference materials, and the publication of the Association’s official journal, Geostandards and Geoanalytical Research. It also sponsors the Geoanalysis series of triennial conferences (www/geoanalysis.info) plus other meetings and workshops and offers student bursaries and other awards.
