Affiliated Societies
The International Mineralogical Association (IMA), the European Mineralogical Union (EMU), and the International Association for the Study of Clays (AIPEA) are affiliated societies of Elements.
The affiliated status is reserved for those organizations that serve as an “umbrella” for other groups in the fields of mineralogy, geochemistry, and petrology, but that do no themselves have a membership base.
